  11. Just a quick one about the modem speed displays that appear such as
  12. system monitor for Win95 or on an FTP program.  When downloading I
  13. quite often get a speed of 3.1 kbs even though my modem is only a 2.8
  14. kbs model.  Is there a reason for this??  Since it is normally zipped
  15. files that are downloaded I don't see that any data compression from
  16. the modem would be used to increase the amount of data coming in.
